The tour guide with a difference
Hi there,
my passport states that my name is Hakim Mussa Hadji and only a few people know that because in my early childhood I was given the nickname Omar Chai and many people think this is my name..... If you are in Makunduchi and ask for Eminem everybody will point at me - so you are welcome to call me Eminem!
I am born in Makunduchi and know the place inside out! I wish to show you my island from a different perspective - the perspective of locals!
I will bring you to places which are not mentioned in guide books.
I will show you tourist attractions differently to the mainstream.
I am supporting the local businesses as much as I can and therefore I bring you in contact with locals during my tours, whether it's the culture tour, the spice tour, or the Blue Safari.
After graduating from college, studying tourism and hospitality, I worked for two years in Jozani National Park as receptionist and tour guide, followed by six months at the Butterfly Center next to the Park. After that I studied languages combined with a computer course at Mwalas College.
After helping out my brother for a few months at Jozani Forest I started doing my own tours in the Makunduchi area and Stone Town.

Bus4Africa
bus4africa (B4A) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses on developmental aid projects. Students in Sweden started the idea and it's growing which shows how amazing the project is and how much the people of Zanzibar gain through B4A.
I work as team leader for the Zanzibar branch of B4A. That means that I arrange everything for the volunteers when they arrive and support them with their different agendas.
If you are interested in volunteering on the beautiful island of Zanzibar and supporting the development of our peoples and having the time of your life please feel free to check the B4A web-page for more information: http://bus4africa.tumblr.com/
